is a flutist, composer, and educator known for her luminous tone and quietly adventurous musical language.

Her work has taken her from Tokyo College of Music to The New School, and onto stages including The Jazz Gallery, Nublu, and the Residence of the Ambassador of Japan in New York.

  • Kanacept

    Kanacept is a flute quartet that performs a unique hybrid between classical and jazz. The ensemble features Kana Miyamoto on flute, Kieran McAuliffe on guitar, Sammy Weissberg on bass, Yosuke Nagayama on drums.
